He is Moving for His Glory

 (another journal entry from Africa)

JUNE 14, 2012 - DEPARTURE TO SOUTH AFRICA (Dulles Airport)

As I sit here in the Dulles airport with my team, I cannot help but reflect on all the ways God has been moving these past few days. It was just last night that we were gathered around the cross together, praying, as we prepared to leave for Africa. I have never seen anyone pray so passionately and so desperately. It moved my heart so greatly to see complete strangers gathered together to weep and pray for people they have never even met. It was true love, true anguish, true fire. God was so present in that moment as knees and tears hit the ground. I felt the holy spirit stirring things inside of me and inside of my teammates. God has something special for this team and I feel it. I see a unity in this team that astounds me, especially considering we don't even know each other. One goal, one purpose, one God. We are His vessels ready to be emptied out for the sake of His glory.

Moved by fire,
Olivia Thabisa Cartwright

"He said to them 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation...'
Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His word by the signs that accompanied it."

1 CORINTHIANS 12:13
"For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink."
